This recipe is for serious foodie people. The chicken bakes out so moist and tender that you will feel the softness and will fall in love with chicken breasts… And the cheese toppings are just like icing the cake.
Preheat oven to 350° F or 175° C.
Butter an 11 X 7 inch pan.
If using more than 4 breasts, use a larger pan.
In a bowl combine melted butter with fresh minced garlic, 1 teaspoon garlic powder, and salt.
In another bowl, combine dry breadcrumbs with ½ cup finely grated cheddar cheese, parmesan cheese, 1 teaspoon garlic powder and coarse ground black pepper.
Now dip chicken in butter mixture, then in the breadcrumbs mixture.
Place the chicken in prepared pan and bake uncovered for 35 – 45 minutes or until cooked thoroughly; larger breasts may take more time.
Placing the chicken on a rack will produce extra crispy crunchy layer.
Before the last 5 minutes of cooking, top it with shredded cheddar or mozzarella cheese; it’s optional.
Place it on a platter and serve it hot.
