Course: Additional Recipes
Ingredients
  • ½ cup Water
  • ¾ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 Egg
  • 2 cups All-purpose flour
  • Cornstarch as required
Instructions
  1. In a bowl, add the flour.

  2. In another small bowl whisk together egg, salt, and water.

  3. Now in the center of the flour, create a well and pour this egg mixture into it.

  4. Combine it very well until the mixture begins to come together.

  5. Now turn the dough onto the counter and knead it for 5 minutes until the dough is firm and silky smooth when it's done.

  6. Cover the dough with a damp cloth and let it rest for 1 hour.

  7. Then divide the dough into halves.

  8. Take a half of the dough, lightly dust your countertop with cornstarch and roll the half of the dough as thin as you can.

  9. Give it a rectangular roughly shape of 20 inches to 10 inches, if you are cutting 5-inch wrapper.

  10. Now cut the sheet into the desired shape of your desired recipe.

  11. Once done, use your wonton wrappers immediately or freeze them for later usage.

  12. NOTE

When you are freezing them, simply stack the wrappers with a generous dusting of cornstarch between each wrapper and wrap them in a plastic wrap and store it in an airtight container for 3 months. Before using thaw the wrappers overnight in the fridge.
