This is a traditional pizza of Italy. When I was in Italy, I came to know about this pizza. It is very simple and has bountiful of flavors enriched in it. Italian loves cheese and so this pizza is completely molded with cheese and cheese. As I’m a cheese lover, I had fallen in love with it. Forgetting the calories I started preparing it to fill my world with cheesy delight.

Ingredients
  • White pizza dough
  • 2⁄3 cup Milk ricotta cheese
  • 2⁄3 cup Greek yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 clove Garlic minced
  • 6 oz (170 gram) Monterey jack or pepper jack grated
  • 1⁄3 cup Fresh basil leaves
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. First place the rack in the upper third of the oven and preheat to 450⁰ F or 230⁰ C.

  2. Now divide the Dough into quarters.

  3. On the lightly floured surface, roll each quarter into the thin round for about 8 inches in diameter.

  4. Now let it rest for about 5 minutes.

  5. Then roll again and make the crust which should be thin.

  6. Now line 2 large baking sheets with parchment paper and brush with olive oil.

  7. Place two of the crust on each sheet.

  8. Then in a bowl, whisk together ricotta, yogurt, and salt.

  9. In another bowl, stir together oil and garlic.

  10. Now brush each crust with the prepared garlic oil, using it all.

  11. Spread ¼ of ricotta mixture over each.

  12. Then sprinkle with ¼ of cheese followed by ¼ of basil.

  13. Now bake it for 8 to 11 minutes or until cheese is golden and underside of the crust is well browned.

SERVE
  1. When it is done, take out from the oven and have a cheesy bite.
