Start the day with a coffee, isn’t it good to give in to the temptation? Surely it will. Turkish coffee is very famous in Turkey. It has a wonderful aroma which enhances the flavor. There is a myth that if you make anyone has a cup of Turkish Coffee, then he is sure to predict your future with goodness. When I had this coffee for the 1st time, I longed for the smell. To me, nothing beats the smell of the coffee and the cardamom especially in the morning or after a large meal. That’s how I like it.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 tablespoon Extra-fine ground coffee
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon Ground cardamom you can use 1 cardamom pod instead
  • Sugar as per taste
Instructions
  1. Bring water and sugar to boil in a saucepan.

  2. When it is boiled, remove from heat and add coffee and cardamom.

  3. Return the saucepan to heat and allow to boil.

  4. Remove from heat when coffee foams.

  5. Once it settles partially, again returns to heat, allow to foam and then finally remove from heat.

  6. Now pour it into cups and allow to sit for a few minutes for the grounds to settle to the bottom of the cup.

SERVE
  1. Serve this coffee hot. If you want, you can add cardamom pod for added flavor.
