Preparing sauce at home is my favorite time pass. I love to prepare different types of sauces and already have shared few of them. Today I’m going to prepare the magic salsa, the hot and spicy devil in Mexican cuisine.

Preparing sauce at home is my favorite time pass. I love to prepare different types of sauces and already have shared few of them. Today I’m going to prepare the magic salsa, the hot and spicy devil in Mexican cuisine.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup Fresh cilantro
  • 2 Medium red ripe tomatoes chopped
  • 1 Serrano chili or Jalapeno chopped
  • ¼ cup Diced onion
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground cumin
  • 1 clove of Garlic
  • Pinch of Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh lime juice
Instructions
  1. Cut the tomatoes into halves and remove the stem and keep it aside.

  2. Now chop the onion and cilantro.

  3. Remove the seeds and skin from the serrano chili and cut it into 4 pieces.

  4. Then finely chop the garlic cloves.

  5. Now in a blender add the diced onion, garlic, serrano chili, cilantro, cumin powder, a pinch of sugar and salt.

  6. Add the diced tomatoes.

  7. Pour lime juice over it and process them until you get the medium chunky texture.

  8. NOTE

    You can blend them according to your choice of salsa. It can be mild chunky or medium.

SERVE
  1. You tomato salsa is ready for use. Now transfer it to a container and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.
