On my Sunday brunch, I love to prepare special dishes for my family. Since my weekdays are full of workloads, it is the perfect day for me to explore new dishes and share it with you all. So, today I have planned to make something special in my main course and that too with rice.

Course: Main Courses
Cuisine: Kuwaiti
Servings: 4 people
Calories: 350 kcal
Ingredients
  • 1 cup Long grain rice
  • 1⁄3 cup Vermicelli
  • 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Kosher salt
  • 1⁄3 cup Unsalted butter
  • 2 2⁄3 cup Chicken broth
  • ¼ teaspoon Ground black pepper
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon Paprika
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder
  • Pinch of Onion powder
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
Instructions
  1. In a saucepan, over medium pour the Chicken Broth.

  2. Then add butter, salt, pepper powder, garlic powder, paprika and onion powder.

  3. Once the mixture starts boiling, simmer the flame to low heat.

  4. Meanwhile in a skillet, over medium-low heat, add the olive oil.

  5. When the oil turns hot, add the vermicelli and cook it until it turns brown, for about 4 to 6 minutes.

  6. Then add the rice and stir it until it turns bright white, for about 5 to 7 minutes.

  7. Now pour the warm broth mixture into the skillet and combine it very well.

  8. Once the mixture simmers, cover with the lid and cook it for more 15 minutes.

  9. Once done, remove the lid and add the parsley.

  10. Then again cover the lid and continue cooking for more 5 minutes or until the broth gets absorbed in the rice.

SERVE
  1. Once completed, switch off the flame and serve immediately.

OUR DINE TABLE
  1. My rice pilaf is read and my siblings are peeping through the kitchen door to taste it out. I have served the rice pilaf in a glass bowl which I have placed in the center of my dine table and I’m very my excited to serve my piping hot rice pilaf to all.
