Oven Baked Fish Finger with Potato Chips
Previously I have already Fried Fish Finger recipe but I know many of you will opt it as it is ‘FRIED’. Thinking about them I have prepared the healthier version of the fish finger which is baked. So no need of worrying about calorie, just indulge in it.
Thinking about them I have prepared the healthier version of the fish finger which is baked.
- 2 Potatoes
- Olive oil spray
- ½ cup Plain flour
- 12.3 oz (350 gram) Fish fillet boneless
- 2 cups Fresh breadcrumbs
- 4.4 oz (125 gram) Cherry tomatoes quartered
- 1 Small avocado diced
- 1 Egg
- 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
- Sea salt to taste
Preheat the oven to 400⁰ F or 200⁰ C.
Line two baking trays with baking paper.
Peel the potatoes and cut into chips and place the potatoes in the cold water.
Bring the potatoes to a boil.
Reduce the heat and simmer for 2 minutes or until potatoes are tender.
Then drain the water and pat them dry between sheets of paper towel.
Now arrange the potatoes in a single layer on a baking tray.
Spray with olive spray and sprinkle with sea salt.
Now cut the fish into a finger shape, about 11 cm long and 3 cm wide.
Place flour and breadcrumbs on to a separate plate.
Now whisk an egg into a shallow dish.
Then dip each fish finger into flour, the egg and lastly in breadcrumbs.
Now arrange them on a baking tray.
Place the potato chips on a top shelf of the oven and bake for 15 minutes and then turn the chips.
Then place the tray with the fish finger in the oven under chips and cook for further 10 to 15 minutes or until fish is golden.
Bake the fish finger thoroughly and the chips should be crisp.
Serve the oven baked fish finger with potato chips combining with Salsa Sauce.
If you are a diet freak and also foodie then I think this is the right option to have a balanced diet with the fish finger. You kids will love this, in fact, they are baked but not fried which will make them healthier than fried ones.
