Ingredients
FOR MINCED MUTTON
  • 2 Bay leaves
  • 1 inch Cinnamon stick
  • 17.5 oz (½ kg) Mutton minced
  • 3 Cloves
  • 1 ½ tablespoon Ginger paste
  • 1 tablespoon Garlic paste
  • 2 Green cardamoms
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 Large onion peeled and finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
FOR PATTIES
  • 1 teaspoon Red chili powder
  • 6 Medium Potatoes boiled
  • 3 sliced Breads edges peeled and mashed
  • Salt to taste
  • Oil for Frying
  • 2 Egg whites
  • Breadcrumbs as per requirement
Instructions
  1. In a bowl marinate the minced mutton with the mixture of ginger garlic paste salt red chili powder, Garam Masala Powder and marinate it for 30 minutes.

  2. Now on medium flame heat oil in a pan.

  3. Toss in the whole spices, cinnamon stick, bay leaves, cloves, and cardamom.

  4. Once they start crackling, add the onions and sauté until they are golden brown.

  5. Now add the marinated minced mutton and stir it well with the spices for 5 minutes.

  6. Then add 1 ½ cup water and cook the minced mutton on medium flame until all water dries up.

FOR PREPARING THE PATTIES
  1. In a shallow dish, add red chili powder along with salt to the mashed potatoes.

  2. Dip the bread slices in water and squeeze them tightly.

  3. Now add this squeezed bread slices to the potato mixture.

  4. Knead them well and prepare a dough.

  5. Then make 15 balls out of the dough.

  6. Stuff 1 tablespoon of minced meat mixture in each ball and seal them.

  7. NOTE

    Make sure there aren’t any crack in the patties.

  8. Now heat oil in a large wok.

  9. Dip the patties in the egg white and then in the breadcrumbs.

  10. When the oil turns hot, deep fry the patties in batches until they turn golden brown.

SERVE
  1. Once complete, drain on the paper towel and serve hot with Tomato Ketchup.
