Mushroom duxelle is actually a sautéed mushroom and herbs mixture, used for garnishing foods which are also very healthy. It is very easy for anyone to prepare at home and enjoy with dishes. Formerly, I didn’t have any knowledge about duxelle. But later when I started researching on French cuisine, I came to know about it that is named at the 17th century of French Marquis duxelle.

Mushroom duxelle is actually a sautéed mushroom and herbs mixture, used for garnishing foods which are also very healthy. It is very easy for anyone to prepare at home and enjoy with dishes. Formerly, I didn’t have any knowledge about duxelle. But later when I started researching on French cuisine, I came to know about it that is named at the 17th century of French Marquis duxelle.

Ingredients
  • ¼ cup Shallots finely chopped
  • 1 Garlic clove minced
  • 2 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon Black pepper
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup White wine
  • ½ teaspoon Dried thyme
  • ½ lb (450 gram) Mushroom
Instructions
  1. In a blender, finely chop the mushroom.

  2. Then scrape the mushroom out into a clean towel.

  3. Now take a skillet and heat over a medium high flame.

  4. Add 1 tablespoon of butter and let it melt.

  5. Once it is melted, add the mushroom, shallot, thyme, pinch of salt and black pepper.

  6. Now stir it frequently until the mushroom become dry and brown in color, for about 5 minutes.

  7. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter.

  8. When the butter gets melted, add the white wine.

  9. Keep on stirring constantly until the wine has evaporated.

  10. When it’s done, remove it from heat and let it cool.

SERVE
  1. The mushroom duxelle is ready to be served as side dish.
