Raita is actually a cold yogurt condiment which is served with foods to cut the oiliness of the spicy food and make it digestive too. Mint raita has a very refreshing minty taste. In my family raita has taken a special position in daily livelihood.

Raita is actually a cold yogurt condiment which is served with foods to cut the oiliness of the spicy food and make it digestive too. Mint raita has a very refreshing minty taste. In my family raita has taken a special position in daily livelihood.

Ingredients
  • ½ cup Mint leaves
  • 2 to 3 Green chilies or jalapeno
  • 1 ½ cup Plain yogurt
  • ¼ teaspoon Black salt
  • ½ teaspoon Roasted cumin powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Black pepper powder
  • ¼ teaspoon Sugar optional
  • Salt to taste
  • ½ cup Onion finely chopped
Instructions
  1. Blend the mint leaves and green chilies in a grinder.

  2. Add couple spoon of yogurt and make a fine paste out of it.

  3. Now take yogurt in a bowl and whisk well.

  4. Now add the above prepared green paste to it and mix well.

  5. Now add all the spices along with salt and sugar, again mix everything well.

  6. Then add chopped onions to it and stir it well.

  7. Raita is now ready to serve.

OUR PANTRY
  1. Raita is perfect for summer season. It is flavorful refreshing and cooling. It can be served with any spicy or heavy dish.
