Mashed potatoes is a heavenly dish to me. This creamy texture dish is bound to fulfill your tummy beside satisfying your taste. It is a very common breakfast which sets your day. There are different ways to prepare mashed potatoes but I have a special way of preparing it. So guys am revealing my secret way of making.

Ingredients
  • 1 ½ lb (680 gram) Potatoes peeled and cut
  • 2 tablespoon Butter
  • 2 fl oz (60 ml) Heavy cream
  • 2 tablespoon Milk
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • Cold water as required
Instructions
  1. Place the potatoes into a saucepan.

  2. Add cold water to the pan so that potatoes are covered by at least an inch.

  3. Now add ½ teaspoon salt to that water.

  4. Then heat the water and bring it to boil.

  5. Reduce the heat to a simmer and cover the lid and let it boil for 20 minutes or until the potatoes are tender.

  6. Meanwhile, take a pan, melt the butter and add the cream stirring constantly.

  7. When the potatoes are boiled, drain the water and place the potatoes into a large bowl.

  8. Now pour the heated cream mixture over the potatoes.

  9. Now with a potato masher, mash the potatoes.

  10. Then use a strong wooden spoon to beat further.

  11. Add the milk and beat until the mash potatoes get a smooth texture.

  12. NOTE

    Remember not to over-beat the potatoes.

  13. Lastly, add the salt and pepper seasoning according to your taste.

SERVE
  1. The mashed potatoes are ready to fulfill your tummy.
