I love chilies. So, any hot sauces grab my attention. When I was in Mexico for my culinary training, I found people over there loves to add hot habanero sauce in dishes and the best part is they even prepare it at their home.

Ingredients
  • 1 Red onion diced
  • ¼ cup Olive oil
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon Cayenne
  • ½ teaspoon Cumin
  • Sea salt for seasoning
  • 1 Clove garlic minced
  • ¼ cup Water
  • 2 teaspoon Apple cider vinegar
  • ¼ cup Tomato sauce
  • 1 Habanero chili minced
  • ¼ cup Tomato paste
  • ¼ teaspoon Freshly ground white pepper
Instructions
  1. In a sauce, over low heat add oil.

  2. Now add the cumin, cayenne, onion, and ½ teaspoon salt and sauté it until onion starts to caramelize.

  3. Add garlic and chili and saute it for more 2 minutes.

  4. Then add Tomato Sauce, tomato paste, vinegar, and water.

  5. Combine them very well and simmer it until it starts to thicken, for about 7 minutes.

  6. Now switch off the flame and transfer the mixture to a blender.

  7. Also, add tomato paste and white pepper and season it with salt.

  8. Blend them until it turns smooth.

SERVE
  1. Once done, store it in a sealed jar in a refrigerator for further usage.

  1. This sauce is really very hot which will turn your head on. If you want to get more heated up, then you can add more chilies. In my pantry, I love to keep varieties of sauces as I know each sauce have their own usage in particular dishes. This hot habanero sauce goes very well with Grilled Chicken or with Pasta or as a compliment.
