- 1 Grapefruit plus more for garnishing
- 2 cups of Ice
- 36 fl oz (1 liter) Ginger soda
- Handful of Fresh Basil
- 1 cup Sugar
- 1 cup Water
- 1 cup Fresh Basil
Place sugar and water in a small pan over medium heat, until sugar is fully dissolved; for about 2 minutes.
Now add the basil and allow for steeping for 15 to 20 minutes and strain the basil.
Then place the syrup in a glass container and chill for a couple of hours by covering it.
If you want you can store it in the refrigerator for up to a month.
Make a juice of 1 large grapefruit.
