From holiday parties to the bonfire, this eggnog is a signal that holidays are near. Especially during winter times, I love to cherish this eggnog as it is the Christmas time. This luxurious creamy beverage adds extra holiday spices.

Ingredients
  • 1 cup Heavy cream
  • 3 Cinnamon sticks
  • 3 cups Whole milk
  • 5 Egg whites
  • 5 Egg yolks
  • 1 teaspoon Freshly grated nutmeg plus for garnishing
  • 1 Vanilla bean pod split and seeds removed
  • 2⁄3 cup Granulated sugar
  • ¾ cup Rum or bourbon
Instructions
  1. Take a saucepan and add milk, cream, vanilla bean, cinnamon, and nutmeg.

  2. Bring them to boil over medium heat.

  3. Once it starts boiling, remove it from the heat.

  4. Now in a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks and sugar.

  5. Combine them until thick ribbons forms when the whisk is lifted.

  6. Now slowly add the milk mixture and continue to mix until the mixture is well combined and smooth.

  7. Then add the rum or bourbon and stir it very well.

  8. Refrigerate overnight or up to 3 days.

  9. Before serving beat the egg whites in a bowl until soft peaks forms and gently fold it into the eggnog until combined.

SERVE
  1. Garnish it with grated nutmeg and serve.

  1. It is a perfect Christmas cocktail punch and if you have not tried it even now, do give a try to fill its novelty. Presently I’m digging this homemade eggnog to enjoy my holiday mood. You can also add this eggnog with a splash of coffee even in desserts to form a new dish.
