- 1 Large onion chopped
- 2 cups Dry white wine
- 3 Garlic cloves minced
- 1 tablespoon Canola oil
- 1 cup Mustard powder
- 2 teaspoon Salt
- 3 tablespoon Honey
In a saucepan, over medium heat add wine, onion, and garlic and bring it to boil.
Then simmer it for 5 minutes.
Once done, cool it and discard the solids.
Now add the mustard powder to the boiling liquid and stir it constantly.
Add honey, salt, and oil and heat it slowly until it turns thickened, stirring constantly.
Once done, pour it into a glass jar and let it sit on the counter at room temperature for overnight.
The Dijon mustard is ready. Before using it refrigerate for 3 to 8 weeks of age flavor.
