This is one of those ham fillings which I like the most. It was introduced to me by my neighbor Alice. You can prepare this filling beforehand and can use this as filling or stuffing or you can simply have it as a side dish.

Cooked Ground Ham

Ingredients
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 lb (450 gram) Ground ham
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 9 oz (255 gram) Frozen peas
  • 9 oz (255 gram) Carrots
  • 1.5 oz (42.5 gram) Raisins
  • 1 Potato diced
Instructions
  1. In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground ham and stir it until it turns brown.

  2. Then season it with salt and pepper.

  3. Now in a separate skillet over medium heat, heat the olive oil and add the onion and garlic and stir it until onion turns translucent.

  4. Then add the ground ham to the mixture and stir it for about 5 minutes.

  5. Add the peas, potatoes, carrots, raisins into the mixture and combine it well.

  6. Then add water and close the lid by simmering until the veggies turn tender, for about 10 minutes.

  7. Remove the lid when the mixture turns thickened and switch off the flame.

  8. Your cooked ham is ready to be served as filling or stuffing.

  1. This ham filling can be made way ahead to make your dishes more flavorful. For your kid’s tiffin or your lunch box, you can use this as stuffing for your burger and fulfill your appetite.
