Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 cup Long grained rice
Instructions
  1. Wash the rice thoroughly and in a deep bowl soak in enough water for 30 minutes.

  2. Then drain the water and keep it aside.

  3. Now in a non-stick pan boil 4 cups of water.

  4. Add salt and 1 tablespoon of oil and mix well.

  5. Then add the rice to the boiling water and stir it on a medium flame and let it boil for 10 to 12 minutes or till the rice is 85% steamed.

  6. Now by using a strainer, strain the boiling water out.

  7. Then pour some cold water on to the rice.

  8. Then let all the water from the rice to drain out ensuring that the rice does not contain any moisture.

  9. Now add the remaining 1 tablespoon of oil and toss the rice and puff it with the fork.

  10. Spread the steamed rice on a flat surface and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.

SERVE
  1. Serve it once done or use it as per requirement.
