Ingredients
  • 2 oz (56 gram) Unsalted butter
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt optional
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 fl oz (120 ml) Fresh cream
  • ½ cup Brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Lemon juice
Instructions
  1. Take a microwave safe bowl, place the cream in it and heat it for up to 30 seconds.

  2. Once done, keep it aside.

  3. Now on medium-low heat put the saucepan and melt the butter in it.

  4. Add the brown sugar, lemon juice, and the salt and keep on stirring continuously until the brown sugar is melted.

  5. Then add the warm cream gradually and keep on stirring continuously.

  6. Once it turns thick, remove it from heat and let it cool.

  7. Your butterscotch topping is ready to top over your favorite ice cream.
