Ingredients
  • 1 clove Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 Lemon zest and juice
  • 28 oz (800 gram) Brussels sprouts
  • 1 Red Chili de-seeded and finely chopped
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoon Olive oil
  • 1.75 oz (50 gram) Butter
Instructions
  1. On a high heat, place a pan of water and bring to boil.

  2. Then place the trimmed brussels sprouts into the boiling water and boil for 5 minutes.

  3. When the sprouts are boiled, drain off the water and run them under cold water.

  4. Now let them cool.

  5. Then slice each sprout into quarters.

  6. Place a large frying pan on high heat.

  7. Add the olive oil and butter.

  8. When the butter melts, add the chopped garlic and chili and give a little toss.

  9. NOTE

    Be careful not to brown the mixture then it will change the flavor of chili and garlic.

  10. Now add the quartered sprouts.

  11. Then add the lemon zest and juice and give the pan another toss so that all sprouts are well coated.

SERVE
  1. The crunchy, sweet, lemony brussels sprouts are ready to serve with a chili kick.
