Ingredients
  • ¾ cup Whole wheat flour
  • 2.25 cups All-purpose flour
  • 1 cup Water
  • ½ tablespoon Dry active yeast
  • 2 tablespoon Melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Sugar
Instructions
  1. Firstly, warm the 1 cup of water.

  2. Then add the dry active yeast and sugar to it.

  3. Stir it and let it rest for about 10 minutes.

  4. Now take a bowl, sieve both the flours with salt with a rim.

  5. Add the yeast mixture and the butter.

  6. Combine all the ingredients very well.

  7. Then begin to knead the dough.

  8. NOTE

    If the dough turns too sticky, then add some flour.

  9. Continue to knead it until it becomes smooth and stretchable dough.

  10. Now rub butter all over the dough and wrap the bowl with a plastic wrap and leave it for 3 hours.

  11. After 3 hours, remove the dough, punch and deflate it lightly.

  12. Now roll a single log of the dough, tuck the edges down on both sides of the bread loaf.

  13. Then take a greased 9 X 5 inch loaf pan and place the bread with the tucked edges facing downwards.

  14. Cover the loaf pan and let the dough leaven for 1 hour.

  15. Now preheat the oven to 350° F or 180° C.

  16. Bake the loaf for 30 to 40 minutes, until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.

  17. Once done, place the brown bread on a wire rack.

SERVE
  1. Once the bread cools, cut it with a knife into slices and have it for a healthy morning breakfast.
