Ingredients
  • 2 teaspoon Dried Yeast
  • 1 oz (450 gram) Flour plus extra
  • 4 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 2 Large eggs
  • 1 Beaten eggs for glazing
  • 250 ml (8.5 fl oz) Warm water
  • 3 tablespoon Warm milk
  • 2 tablespoon Caster sugar
  • Sesame seeds for sprinkling
Instructions
  1. In a bowl add the warm water, warm milk, yeast and sugar and mix it well.

  2. Let it stand for 5 minutes until it becomes frothy.

  3. Now in a mixing bowl, add the flour and 1 teaspoon salt.

  4. Then add the butter and mix it with your fingertips until it becomes fine breadcrumbs.

  5. Now make a well at the center of the flour.

  6. Add the warm yeast mixture and the eggs.

  7. With your want mix it very well and make a sticky dough.

  8. Then place the dough on to a floured work surface.

  9. Knead the dough for more 10 minutes by stretching it on the work surface.
  10. NOTE

    The dough will be ready when feels soft and bouncy.

  11. Now take an oiled bowl and place the dough on it and cover it with a plastic wrap and keep it aside for 3 hours, until it doubles.
  12. Once the dough turns doubled, knead it again for 2 minutes.
  13. Then divide the dough into 16 even pieces and roll it into balls and arrange it on a lined baking tray.

  14. Now cover it with an oil cling film and keep it for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size again.

  15. Once done, heat the oven to 200° F or 100° C and place a shallow baking tray.

  16. Take the buns and brush it with beaten eggs and sprinkle the sesame seeds on top.

  17. Pour a cup of water into a baking tray at the bottom of the oven.

  18. Now bake the buns for 20 minutes or until it turns golden.
  19. Once it is done, leave it to cool on a wire rack.
SERVE
  1. The brioche buns are ready to get served.
