IT’s a passed down recipe from my grandmom to my mom and she gave it to me. I previously was not a real big fan of bologna but once after having it, I have fallen in love with it newly. What I’m going to post today is really authentic bologna recipe and is simply delicious.

Ingredients
  • 3 lb (450 gram) Ground beef
  • 3 tablespoon Sugar based curing mixture
  • 1 cup Water
  • 1 ½ teaspoon Liquid smoke flavoring
  • ½ teaspoon Onion powder
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon Garlic powder
Instructions
  1. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, curing salt, garlic powder, onion powder, water and liquid smoke by using your hand.

  2. Now divide it into halves and form each half into a roll.

  3. Then wrap it in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.Then wrap it in a plastic wrap and refrigerate for 24 hours.

  4. Now preheat the oven to 300⁰ F or 150⁰ C.

  5. Unwrap the beef roll and place them on a greased baking sheet or roasting pan.

  6. Bake it for 1 hour in the preheated oven.

  7. Turning the meat over after 30 minutes.

  8. When it is done, take out from the oven and cool to the room temperature.

  9. Then refrigerate it until chilled.

OUR PANTRY
  1. I love to prepare deli style homemade bologna with my own hand. It’s very easy to prepare and also marks an excellent sandwich spread. Slice it and eat on sandwiches. So, don’t be late to make your own sandwich meat.
