Whoever invented doughnuts, it’s fair to say he or she is a genius. But the saddest part is that we will probably never know the identity of this pioneer. That doesn’t stop me from wanting to honor this memory frequently. I always love to prepare doughnuts. It is so creamy, chocolaty and blissfully smooth Nutella into doughnuts are a great thing to happen. Nutella is one of my favorite food, keeping this ingredient with a sprinkle of fancy.

Ingredients
  • 1 ¼ cup All-purpose flour
  • 1 Large egg
  • ½ cup Milk
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 3 tablespoon Butter softened
  • 1⁄3 cup Nutella
  • 3 tablespoon Light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup Granulated sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon Salt
  • 1 ¼ teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1 tablespoon Unsweetened cocoa powder
FOR GLAZING
  • ½ teaspoon Vanilla extract
  • 4 to 6 teaspoon Milk
  • 2 ½ tablespoon Nutella
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar
  • Chopped Toasted hazelnuts for topping; optional
Instructions
  1. Preheat the oven to 400⁰ F or 200⁰ C.

  2. Now in a mixing bowl mix together flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.

  3. Whisk it for 30 seconds and keep aside.

  4. In a separate bowl, using a separate hand mixer set on medium-low speed, whip together granulated sugar, light brown sugar, Nutella and butter until well blended; for about 20 seconds.

  5. Then add egg and vanilla.

  6. Using a wooden spoon or spatula, make three separate batches.

  7. Then add 1⁄3 rd of the flour mixture alternating with half of the milk; mixing and folding until combined after each addition, beginning and ending with flour mixture.

  8. Now divide the batter among greased doughnut pans filling each about ¾th full.

  9. Bake in preheated oven until a toothpick inserted into a doughnut, comes out clean; for about 7 to 9 minutes.

  10. Then remove from the oven and let it cool for 5 minutes.

  11. Now run a butter knife around edges to loosen and invert onto a wire rack and allow cooling completely.

FOR MAKING THE GLAZE
  1. In a small mixing bowl, whisk together powder sugar, 2 ½ tablespoon Nutella, milk, vanilla extract and mix it until smooth; the glaze is ready.

  2. Now spread Nutella glaze over tops of doughnuts.

  3. Top with chopped hazelnuts and allow glaze to set at room temperature.

SERVE
  1. Store in an airtight container at room temperature or serve.

  1. Making good, raised doughnuts at home is very easy and tasteful too. Baked Nutella doughnuts are sweetly glazed, delicate, light ring of love with a slightly crispy surface and have a wonderful flavor. So do give them a try some time, they are really fun to make. This doughnut can be eaten with a glassful of cold milk.
