Have you ever tried of making pie at home? Well! if not, here is a fabulous recipe that will add a delicious twist. It is one of the satisfying desserts in my home. Starting from my grandma to my siblings, all are a fan of this apple pie.

Ingredients
  • 2 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 3 lb (1.35 kg) Mixed apples
  • 1 tablespoon All-purpose flour plus more for dusting
  • 2⁄3 cup Granulated sugar
  • ¾ teaspoon Ground cinnamon
  • 1⁄8 teaspoon Salt
  • 6 tablespoon Unsalted butter
  • 2 discs Dough
  • 1 Large egg beaten
  • Coarse sugar for sprinkling
Instructions
  1. Peel and core the apple and slice them thick.

  2. Now toss them with the granulated sugar and lemon juice.

  3. Then over medium heat, heat a skillet.

  4. Add 4 tablespoon of butter and heat it to melt.

  5. Then add the apples and stir them until they turn tender.

  6. Now add the flour, salt, and cinnamon and stir it until it turns thicken.

  7. Once it is done, let it cool.

  8. Meanwhile, roll out 1 disc of Dough into a 12 inch round on a floured surface.

  9. Put it on a 9-inch pie plate.

  10. Then add the apple and mound them in the center and top them with the remaining 2 tablespoons of the butter.

  11. Roll out the remaining 1 disc dough into 12 inches round.

  12. Now lay it over the filling and press the edges of the crust together.

  13. Then fold the over hanged under itself and crimp to seal.

  14. Brush it with the beaten egg and sprinkle some coarse sugar.

  15. Now cut a few slits in the top crust.

  16. Once it is done, chill it for 1 hour.

  17. Now take a baking sheet and place it over on the lowest oven rack.

  18. Preheat to 425° F or 215° C for 30 minutes.

  19. Then place the pie on the hot baking sheet and lower the temperature to 370° F or 185° C.

  20. Bake it until it turns golden, for about 1 hour 10 minutes.

  21. Once it is done, cool on the rack.

SERVE
  1. Once it is cooled, serve the apple pie and share the happiness.
