Ingredients
  • 1 lb (450 gram) Mutton or lamb cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 2 teaspoon Chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 2 Large tomatoes chopped small
  • 1 Large onion cut into thin slices
  • ½ teaspoon Ginger powder or paste
  • ½ teaspoon Garlic powder or paste
  • 1 teaspoon Turmeric
  • ½ teaspoon Amchur powder you can use 3 to 4 teaspoon lemon juice instead
  • 3 tablespoon Mustard or vegetable oil
  • Salt to taste
  • Chopped coriander for garnishing
Instructions
  1. Wash the meat and drain water completely.

  2. Add salt and turmeric to it.

  3. Cook the meat with 1 cup of water in pressure cooker for about 10 minutes.

  4. NOTE

    Check to see if the meat is done. Add more water if needed to be cooked longer.

  5. Dry up if any water remains.

  6. Now in separate pan heat oil and add onion.

  7. Fry it until it turns brown.

  8. Add tomatoes and rest of the ingredients.

  9. Then fry the tomatoes until soft and mixed with spices.

  10. Add meat to it and then salt.

  11. Fry for few minutes till brown.

  12. Now add the lemon juice or amchur powder and fry for 2 to 3 minutes more.

SERVE
  1. Garnish with chopped coriander and serve.

  1. This is a mildly spiced mutton recipe with basic ingredients and simple steps. You can have this curry along with Naan, Parathas or Rotis and as a compliment, have a bowlful of Cucumber Raita.
